Remembering 911

On Sept. 11 2001, I was on my way to catch a flight to Boston, to escort a friend and than take another flight to NYC, from Boston. On my way to the Montreal airport, at 9:15 am, I heard the shocking news.A year later, Sept. 11, 2002, I was on my way again to NYC, via Boston. My Boston friends talked me out of taking the flight and we drove together, entering NY in the afternoon at the time that the memorial at Ground Zero, with President Bush, was taking place. It was an eerie scene and I’ve never seen NY so empty and quite on our way to a downtown gallery, in Tribeca, just six blocks away from Ground Zero.
